15 injured, police officer killed as explosions rock western Ukraine's Lviv in terrorist assault

Explosions on account of a terrorist assault shook Lviv, injuring 15 and killing a police officer, authorities reported in a single day on Feb. 22.

"This was a terrorist assault. At current, 14 victims have been hospitalized," Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi reported . Afterwards, he stated that 15 individuals have been injured within the explosion.

The blasts happened close to Lviv's historic Outdated City and shattered home windows within the space.

"It has been preliminarily established {that a} 23-year-old policewoman was killed. A patrol automobile and a civilian automobile have been broken," the Lviv Oblast's Prosecutor's Workplace said .

The explosions occurred after cops arrived on the scene responding to a name, Ukraine's Nationwide Police first said in an announcement.

Cops have been responding to a reported retailer intrusion when the primary explosion erupted, and a second explosion happened when one other police crew arrived on the scene, the Lviv Oblast's Prosecutor's Workplace added.
