France has formally blamed Russia’s navy intelligence company, the GRU, for a collection of cyberattacks, together with the breach of President Macron’s 2017 presidential marketing campaign, which led to the leak of over 20,000 emails. The hacking group APT28 (Fancy Bear) is accused of concentrating on French establishments, together with protection, media, and the 2024 Paris Olympics. The French authorities condemned these actions as unacceptable, marking the primary time Russia has been publicly held accountable for such assaults.
