The 135m-ship (443ft) missed Johan Helberg's home by metres at about 05:00 native time (03:00 GMT) on Thursday.

Mr Helberg was solely alerted to the commotion by his panicked neighbour who had watched the ship because it headed straight for shore, in Byneset, close to Trondheim.

"The doorbell rang at a time of day after I do not wish to open," Mr Helberg advised tv channel TV2.

"I needed to bend my neck to see the highest of it. It was so unreal."

"I used to be positive that he was already outdoors, however no, there was no signal of life. I rang the doorbell many instances and nothing," stated Mr Jorgensen.

"And it was solely after I referred to as him on the cellphone that I managed to contact him," he advised TV2.

Nobody was injured within the incident, AFP information company reported.

It's not recognized what prompted the crash and Norwegian police are stated to be investigating.

"It is a very cumbersome new neighbour however it'll quickly go away," Mr Helberg added.
