In Burundi, the media has not absolutely bounced again from the political turmoil of 2015. Journalists had been among the many first to flee when the federal government cracked down on protests in opposition to then-President Pierre Nkurunziza’s disputed third time period. Now, with native elections scheduled for June 5, many imagine that worry continues to loom over the press. A Burundian journalist, talking anonymously, spoke to our correspondent Juliette Montilly.
