Europe swelters in summer time's first heatwave as continent warms

Southern Europeans braced Saturday for the primary heatwave of the northern hemisphere summer time, as local weather change pushes thermometers on the world’s fastest-warming continent more and more into the purple. Temperatures are set to rise to 37 levels Celsius (99 Fahrenheit) in Rome, driving the Everlasting Metropolis’s many vacationers and Catholic pilgrims to the Vatican alike in direction of the Italian capital’s 2,500 public fountains for refreshment.
