A zoo employee in Jerusalem has died after being attacked by a leopard which had escaped from its enclosure.

Uriel Nuri died from accidents he sustained throughout a "behind-the-scenes tour" for guests on Friday morning, Jerusalem Biblical Zoo stated.

The zoo stated it was working with Israeli police to analyze how the massive cat escaped into the courtyard the place the 36-year-old was working.

Positioned in south-west Jerusalem, the Biblical Zoo says on its web site that it displays large cats together with tigers, lions and cheetahs.

Mr Nuri was head of the carnivores crew, in accordance with his Instagram web page, the place he posted movies about his work.
