TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) — Israel is in discussions with South Sudan about the opportunity of resettling Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to the war-torn East African nation, a part of a wider effort by Israel to facilitate mass emigration from the territory left in ruins by its 22-month offensive towards Hamas.
Six individuals conversant in the matter confirmed the talks to The Related Press. It’s unclear how far the talks have superior, but when applied, the plans would quantity to transferring individuals from one war-ravaged land vulnerable to famine to a different, and lift human rights considerations.
