It’s a query, a lingering suspicion that has bedeviled practically each era: Are the youngsters lately getting extra impolite, extra brash, extra grossly unapologetic?
“Now we have tales of Emily coping with this query, we’ve got tales of our grandmother coping with this query,” says Lizzie Post, the great-great-granddaughter of etiquette maven Emily Submit and co-president of the Emily Post Institute. “5 generations provides us the size of time to show this one out that we actually do continuously look again at instances nostalgically and say that they had been extra well mannered.”
