Sen. Ted Cruz , R-Texas, on Saturday endorsed Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, after the conservative congressman introduced his candidacy to grow to be the Lone Star State's subsequent legal professional basic.

Roy made the announcement in a marketing campaign video shared on X, saying he strives to protect the state's legacy of "liberty, freedom and self-determination."
