French movie star Depardieu to face trial accused of rape of actress Charlotte Arnould

Movie star Gerard Depardieu, one of many main faces of French cinema, will face trial on expenses of raping actress Charlotte Arnould in 2018, within the newest blow to his fame after he was convicted of sexual assault earlier this yr. Arnould first accused Depardieu of rape in 2018, saying the assaults occurred in his Paris residence on two separate events when she was in her early 20s. Depardieu, 76, has denied wrongdoing within the case.
