Members of the oversight panel confirmed Monday that they'd obtained the 2003 birthday ebook, which was compiled for Epstein by his former affiliate Ghislaine Maxwell. The existence of the birthday ebook was first disclosed in July by The Wall Road Journal, which reported that Trump's signature seems on a web page within the ebook that featured a number of traces of typewritten textual content, framed by the define of a unadorned lady. The Journal described Trump's signature as "a squiggly 'Donald' beneath her waist, mimicking pubic hair."

Republicans on the Oversight Committee criticized Democrats for "cherry-picking paperwork and politicizing info" that the panel obtained from Epstein's property.
