'Iran responded to peaceable quest for human rights, dignity with unprecedented violent crackdown'

This week marks the third anniversary of the demise of Mahsa Amini which sparked the youth-led Lady, Life, Freedom motion in Iran. Within the face of injustice, Iranians throughout generations, particularly girls and minorities, rose up in a peaceable quest for human dignity and rights. The regime responded with an unprecedented violent crackdown. In keeping with many observers, together with the UN, what adopted amounted to crimes in opposition to humanity. To replicate on these occasions, their impression, and the continuing combat for justice, we’re joined by Azadeh Pourzand, Senior Fellow and Head of the State-Society Relations Analysis Unit on the Middle for Center East and International Order (CMEG).
