Flotilla passenger headed to Gaza tells France 24 we have now collective duty to help civilians

Eve Irvine welcomes Dr. James Smith, an emergency physician who has labored in struggle‐torn Gaza over the previous two years. He’s now on board the flotilla in an effort to finish the Israeli blockade of humanitarian assist. He argues that each one of us bear a “collective duty” to stop atrocities and warns that, with 90 % of Gaza displaced, there isn’t any dignified refuge for two.1 million individuals. He says the flotilla is one component in a wider Palestinian solidarity motion resisting genocide. He challenges world leaders to rise to the event: “They know and so they have chosen to not act.”
