The pair say that GOP leaders have "repeatedly and publicly refused to have interaction in bipartisan negotiations to maintain the federal government open."

The Home voted Friday to approve a short-term spending invoice to fund the federal government although Nov. 21.

The spending invoice failed within the Senate, as did a competing invoice by Senate Democrats.

Congress should act by Sept. 30 to fund the federal government with a view to keep away from a shutdown.
