Sanford served within the Marines from 2004 to 2008 as an organizational automotive mechanic and automobile restoration operator, the Marine Corps advised Fox Information.

He deployed to Iraq as a part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Police sources advised Fox Detroit that Sanford had a spouse and son.

Sunday's taking pictures started at round 10:30 a.m.

"He drove his automobile by way of the entrance doorways of the church," Grand Blanc Township Police Chief William Renye advised reporters of what unfolded.
