Two Delta planes collide on LaGuardia taxiway, one individual injured

Two Canadair jets operated by Endeavor Air, a subsidiary of Delta Air Traces, collided on a taxiway at LaGuardia Airport in New York Wednesday night time.

The incident came about at 9:58 p.m. between two Canadair CRJ-900 regional jets.

One was an outbound flight and the opposite inbound, based on the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

A Delta spokesperson confirmed to Fox Information Digital that one flight attendant had suffered a minor harm and was handled by EMTs earlier than being transported to an area hospital as a precaution. No different passengers have been injured.

Delta confirmed the incident, describing it as a "low-speed collision" involving Endeavor Air flight 5155 from LaGuardia to Roanoke, Virginia, and Endeavor Air flight 5047 arriving from Charlotte, North Carolina.

"Delta groups at our New York-LaGuardia hub are working to make sure our clients are taken care of after two Delta Connection plane operated by Endeavor Air have been concerned in a low-speed collision throughout taxi," Delta spokesperson Morgan Durrant stated. "Delta will work with all related authorities to assessment what occurred as security of our clients and folks comes earlier than all else. We apologize to our clients for the expertise."

Passengers from each planes have been deplaned on the taxiway and returned to Terminal C by bus. Delta stated clients have been supplied with meals and drinks, in addition to with lodge lodging and rebookings for these whose journey was disrupted.

The Port Authority reported no influence on airport operations. Delta stated it would work with the FAA, NTSB and the Port Authority to assessment what occurred, emphasizing that "security of our clients and folks comes earlier than all else."
