Moldovans have voted in what’s arguably the nation’s most pivotal election since independence in 1991. Our visitor says that there was “a giant hazard that pro-Russian forces may need drawn Moldova into Russia’s struggle towards Ukraine”. However that hazard was averted, and voters gave a transparent thumbs-up to Moldova’s European future and its need to hitch the EU. We analyse the results of this parliamentary vote with Nicu Popescu, a former deputy prime minister and former international minister of Moldova.
