Authorities in Israel and Gaza are getting ready for the discharge of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners forward of a Monday deadline for the swap stipulated within the ceasefire deal that would finish the two-year warfare in Gaza.
Hamas is supposed to launch all residing hostages from Gaza inside 72 hours of the signing of the deal – a deadline that ends at midday native time (10am UK time). The militant group holds 48 hostages, 20 of whom are believed to be alive.
