HBO’s Intercourse and the Metropolis star Cynthia Nixon spoke at a “Gays for Zohran” rally, the place she inspired members of the LGBTQ group to marketing campaign for Democrat Socialist New York Metropolis mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani, regardless of him having lately met with a Ugandan official who has pushed a legislation to jail gays for all times.

Notably, Mamdani — who was born in Uganda and holds twin citizenship in each Uganda and the USA — was lately photographed assembly with Rebecca Kadaga, a Ugandan official who has pushed anti-LGBTQ insurance policies, together with life imprisonment for homosexual folks.
“Delighted to fulfill with Zohran Mamdhani (sic) incoming Mayor of New York Metropolis. Good luck within the subsequent section of elections,” Kadaga wrote in a July X put up, sharing a photograph of herself with the socialist New York Metropolis mayoral candidate.
Kadaga — who has been First Deputy Prime Minister of Uganda since 2021, after serving as a high parliament speaker for ten years — introduced in 2012 that she was passing a draconian legislation imposing extreme penalties in opposition to homosexual folks, based on a report by New York Submit.
