France’s Nationwide Meeting on Friday voted towards twin proposals for a wealth tax put ahead by the left in a transfer that would put Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu’s fragile minority authorities in jeopardy. The measures have been rejected by a majority fashioned between centrist, conservative and far-right lawmakers.
