Some members of Congress are up in arms over a briefing by a senior administration lawyer who informed them the Trump administration had no intention of adhering to the Battle Powers Decision relating to the continuing interdiction marketing campaign towards Venezuelan drug cartels. In line with the Washington Publish, T. Elliot Gaiser, head of the Trump administration’s Workplace of Authorized Counsel, stated the administration did not imagine the strikes met the definition of hostilities underneath the legislation and didn’t intend to hunt an extension of the deadline nor Congress’s approval of ongoing motion.
