US and Russian officers have quietly drafted a brand new plan to finish the Ukraine struggle that may require Kyiv to give up territory and severely restrict the dimensions of its army, it was reported on Wednesday. The draft plan – which was reportedly developed by Donald Trump’s envoy, Steve Witkoff, and the Kremlin adviser Kirill Dmitriev – would pressure draconian measures on Ukraine that may give Russia unprecedented management over the nation’s army and political sovereignty, write Luke Harding, Pjotr Sauer and Andrew Roth. It was unclear whether or not the Trump administration had formally backed the proposal, which in line with the studies would require Ukraine to cede territory it controls within the east of the nation and halve the dimensions of its army. The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has beforehand known as these circumstances non-starters.
