Greek coastguard says almost 540 folks can have their asylum claims processed after rescue south of the island.

Almost 540 asylum seekers have been rescued from a fishing boat south of the island of Crete, Greece’s coastguard says.
The folks had been discovered some 16 nautical miles (29.6km) off Gavdos throughout a Greek search operation on Friday, the coastguard stated in a press release, with out specifying the place the boat had set sail from.
