Paradox Customs has launched a fairly radical choice to its prebuilt PC configurator: the flexibility to order a system with no RAM put in. The boutique builder says the transfer is a direct reply to the large reminiscence scarcity and sky-high DRAM costs at present rocking the trade, which have made it almost not possible for system builders to maintain kits in inventory at a predictable value. For patrons who’ve a spare set of sticks at residence or wish to discover a deal elsewhere, it’s a solution to dodge the “RAM tax” that has been driving up prebuilt prices.
