The State of New York will now require social media platforms to show warning labels just like these discovered on cigarettes. The invoice was handed by the New York Legislature in June and signed into regulation by Gov. Kathy Hochul on Friday. It’s going to apply to any platforms that function infinite scrolling, auto-play, like counts or algorithmic feeds. The labels will warning these on the platform about potential hurt to younger customers’ psychological well being.
