A battle is brewing in California over a plan to tax billionaires – with tech titans divided over whether or not they need to pay up, or flee the state.
Underneath a tax proposal that might be put to voters this November, any California resident value greater than $1bn must pay a one-off, 5% tax on their property to assist cowl training, meals help and healthcare packages within the state.
