French President Emmanuel Macron held an emergency protection council assembly on the Élysée Palace on Thursday to debate Greenland and Iran – amongst different points. He then visited a army base within the south of France. In his speech to the troops, Macron highlighted the tense geopolitical state of affairs and introduced a rise to the French military finances.
