The European Union’s parliament voted on Wednesday to refer a freshly signed commerce cope with South American bloc Mercosur to the EU’s high court docket, casting the hard-fought accord into authorized limbo. The vote offers a blow to the European Fee, whose president Ursula von der Leyen had given a speech to parliament simply hours earlier touting the “historic deal”.
