Astronomers have constructed probably the most detailed map of darkish matter within the Universe, an invisible substance that makes up about 85 p.c of all matter. Utilizing deep pictures from the NASA James Webb House Telescope, a global workforce of astronomers from Durham College, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), and the Swiss Federal Institute of Expertise in Switzerland have mapped the gravity of darkish matter within the sky. The workforce has revealed their findings in Nature Astronomy.
