President Donald Trump signed an government order for the first-ever skilled motor race, referred to as the Freedom 250 Grand Prix, to start out in Washington, D.C., as a part of celebrations marking America’s 250th birthday.
Trump—alongside the proprietor of Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Roger Penske, IndyCar, and a plethora of racing groups, together with these from NASCAR—signed an government order inaugurating the race for August 21–23.
“It’s going to be so thrilling,” Trump exulted. “I really like the racing. I don’t have loads of time to look at it, however I really like the racing.”
