And, across the time that Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern’s Moist Bandits started plotting their break-ins, I started questioning one thing: Had been house robberies actually so frequent in 1990, when the movie was launched, that audiences wouldn’t blink on the thought of a comedy based mostly round house housebreaking?
