Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Sunday blamed what he referred to as "venom" from the political left following a lethal incident at President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence.

Sheriff Ric Bradshaw confirmed to Fox Information that the suspect was 21-year-old Austin Tucker Martin of North Carolina.

The president was in Washington, D.C. on the time of the incident. No Secret Service brokers or regulation enforcement personnel had been injured.

"I need to congratulate Sean Curran and the Secret Service for shielding the president and his family ," Bessent mentioned, including that Trump and his household are protected.
