In an interview with FRANCE 24, Abdullah Mohtadi, secretary-general of the Iranian Kurdish opposition Komala celebration, mentioned Kurds “can play a really important position in making a breakthrough” in Iran. He pointed to “severe indicators of weak point” amongst safety forces in Kurdish areas of Iran and mentioned “tens of 1000’s” of younger folks had been able to take up arms – with out, he claimed, any overseas backing.
