On Monday’s broadcast of “CNN NewsNight,” CNN Senior Commentator Van Jones stated that “Democrats have to stay to their weapons” on the DHS shutdown “as a result of, as inconvenient as it’s in an airport, it’s much more inconvenient to have ICE brokers doing all types of horrible stuff, and they need to be put again in a field.”
Host Abby Phillip requested, “That is beginning to have an effect on folks. Van, you have been saying you have been in Austin this weekend. Is it time for Democrats to compromise?”
