Astronomers have discovered one of the historic stars that has ever been noticed. The second-generation star is situated within the dwarf galaxy Pictor II, 150,000 light-years away from Earth. PicII-503 is a star which accommodates 1/40,000th the iron content material of the Solar. The star with the bottom iron content material has been found past the Milky Manner. The invention of the traditional star was revealed in Nature Astronomy on 16 March 2026.
