World leaders have voiced concern after Israeli police prevented Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Latin patriarch of Jerusalem, from coming into the Church of the Holy Sepulchre on Sunday.
Pizzaballa had tried to journey to the church inside Jerusalem’s Previous Metropolis with the Rev. Francesco Ielpo, the church’s official guardian, to rejoice Palm Sunday Mass, based on the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
