Closely armed and wearing camouflage, members of Iran’s Basij paramilitary drive have been circulating images of themselves patrolling the streets of Tehran with portraits of the brand new supreme chief since early March. The intention: to dissuade Iranians from restarting protests in opposition to the regime.
