India on Friday expressed deep concern on the “massive variety of civilian casualties” in Lebanon, which has been relentlessly bombarded by Israeli forces over the previous month, as New Delhi emphasised the safety of civilians and the necessity to respect worldwide legislation and the sovereignty of states.

Israeli troops invaded southern Lebanon after destroying very important infrastructure, akin to bridges, after Hezbollah launched rockets at Israel on March 2. The Israeli bombing marketing campaign and invasion has killed 1,800 individuals and injured 5,873 in Lebanon. A lethal bombing marketing campaign on Wednesday alone killed 303 individuals and threatened to derail a fragile truce between Iran and the US.
