Former Hampton College softball participant, Mo’ne Davis, has lately signed on to play for the Indianapolis Clowns of the Banana Ball Championship League.
Davis has joined the Clowns, the league’s latest franchise. The announcement was made on social media on April 8.
The Philadelphia native, who first grew to become identified as the primary woman to throw a shutout in Little League World Sequence historical past, was a 13-year-old pitcher for the Philadelphia Taney Dragons when she achieved the feat in 2014.
Davis made her debut for the Clowns lately and obtained a standing ovation and cheers from the group when she headed to the pitching mound to take part within the recreation. She got here in as a reduction pitcher and acquired the opposing batter to floor out to finish the competition. She had some phrases to say after the sport.
