Brazil's Ava-Guarani battle for justice

In Brazil, the federal government has bought land for Indigenous communities as a part of historic reparations for human rights abuses linked to the development of a hydroelectric dam within the Nineteen Seventies. The newly acquired property covers 107 hectares—a small portion of the three,000 hectares the federal government has agreed to purchase for these whose land was flooded by the Itaipu dam.
