Germany’s flag provider airline Lufthansa mentioned Wednesday that it was canceling 20,000 short-haul flights inside Europe to save cash, citing the dramatic spike within the value of jet gas brought on by the U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran, which has dramatically constrained the circulation of petroleum merchandise by means of the Strait of Hormuz.
