Putin pledges help for Iran in talks with FM Araghchi


Iranian International Minister Abbas Araghchi on Monday met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg, with the Russian president telling the Iranian diplomat that he hoped for peace quickly.

Moscow, an ally of Iran, has up to now resisted being drawn into the Center East battle because it continues with its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

However Putin on Monday provided help to Iran, saying that he hoped for peace quickly and that Iran would navigate this “tough interval” of battle, in response to Russia’s state information company.
