Folks throughout Asia kicked off May Day with giant marches and protests as many employees grapple with rising energy costs and shrinking purchasing power tied to the Iran war. Often known as Worldwide Staff’ Day or Labor Day, the vacation highlights the struggles and achievements of employees worldwide. Hundreds are taking to the streets from Asia to Europe and past calling for stronger labor protections, larger wages and higher equality whereas drawing consideration to stagnant incomes and the rising price of residing.
