A US citizen hijacked a home flight in Belize on Friday, stabbing two passengers and the pilot in a mid-air assault.
One of many victims, who regardless of struggling vital accidents, managed to fatally shoot the attacker mid-flight, officers in Belize and the USA confirmed.
The aircraft ultimately landed safely, averting what authorities stated might have been a mass casualty occasion.
The Tropic Air flight, carrying 14 passengers and two crew members, had departed from Corozal, a small city close to Belize’s northern border with Mexico, and was en path to the favored vacationer vacation spot of San Pedro when the hijacking occurred, reported NYT.
