KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — President Volodymyr Zelenskyy introduced that he’s sending a brand new anti-corruption invoice to Ukraine’s Parliament on Thursday, in an additional try and defuse tensions after he accredited changes to graft laws that introduced a public outcry and sharp criticism from the European Union.
Opponents of the contentious regulation handed by lawmakers and accredited by Zelenskyy earlier this week mentioned that it stripped Ukraine’s anti-corruption watchdogs of their independence by granting the federal government extra oversight of their work.
