The Canadian billionaire Stephen Smith has purchased a stake within the guardian firm of the Economist, held by Lynn Forester de Rothschild, in solely the third vital possession construction shake-up in its 183-year historical past.
Smith and his household holding firm, Smith Monetary Corp, which owns monetary companies, together with a co-ownership of the influential proxy advisory group Glass Lewis, has acquired a 26.9% stake within the Economist Group (TEG) for an undisclosed sum.
