Code Pink founder praises Marjorie Taylor Greene's anti-war stance

The founding father of the left-wing Code Pink group, Medea Benjamin, hailed outgoing Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., on Wednesday, saying she's going to "miss" her help for peace.

Many on social media expressed shock and criticism on the odd pairing, whereas some observers talked about "horseshoe concept" – the concept the extremes on the correct and left have extra in widespread with one another than with moderates.

"We visited Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene right now to thank her for turning into such a robust anti battle voice in congress and inform her we are going to miss her," Benjamin wrote in a press release on X.

Greene confronted heavy backlash for the assembly from conservative commentators who argued it was a betrayal of values.

"And right here is [MTG] pictured hanging out with an org that mocks our troops at army parades with faux caskets. Unbelievable," wrote commentator Dana Loesch.

"Weirder and weirder by the day," quipped Fox Information contributor Byron York.

Greene herself defined the assembly in a press release on social media, saying he was dedicated to her anti-war stance.

"I’m America First and totally in opposition to funding foreign wars and help peace as a result of that’s good for everybody particularly essentially the most harmless individuals, youngsters. I've loved a friendship with Medea for just a few years now though politics says that’s not allowed," she wrote on X.
