Former Rep. Colin Allred, D-Texas, advised CNN on Monday that Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett's determination to run for Senate was "in fact" a think about his determination to drop out of the race .

Bash requested Allred to elaborate on the dialog he had with Crockett earlier than deciding to "let her take the wheel" within the Senate race.

Crockett had teased a potential bid for weeks, saying she was "strongly" contemplating it after her district was redrawn by the Texas legislature.
