In an interview with FRANCE 24 in Beirut, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam mentioned the Israeli offensive in Lebanon, amid the continuing conflict within the Center East. “This conflict was imposed upon us,” the Lebanese chief stated, including that Lebanon “may have averted it” had Hezbollah not fired rockets in retaliation for the US-Israeli assassination of Iran’s supreme chief Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
