Diving: Can coral reefs survive mass tourism?

On the French archipelago of Guadeloupe, hundreds of snorkellers go to the Pigeon Islands yearly, placing the reef below big stress. Regardless of warnings to not contact or stand on the coral, many corals are bleaching and dying on account of rising sea temperatures and overtourism. Regardless of restricted rangers and amid rising environmental stress, diving golf equipment and new laws are hoping to guard this fragile ecosystem.
